Give to an Organization That Shares Your Values
If you want to help CCS provide Help, Hope, and Community to people in Lane County in a significant way, consider planned giving, also known as estate giving or legacy giving. Please consult your financial advisor or tax advisor to explore the best way for you to participate in the options listed below.
Retirement Plan
Donating part or all of your retirement assets such as a gift from your IRA, 401K, 403b, pension, or other tax-deferred plans is an excellent way to make a gift to advance the mission of CCS.
Gift of Stock
If you own stock or a mutual fund that has appreciated in price since you purchased it, consider donating that asset to charity. You get a tax deduction for full market value and avoid capital gains tax. Call us or a financial advisor to learn more about the process.
Leave a Legacy
Donors who leave CCS in their wills or trusts see no ripple effect during their lifetime and have the knowledge that they are supporting CCS far into the future. Questions? Contact the Development Office by calling 541-345-3628 x1317
Simple Process
As little as one sentence in your will or living trust is all that is needed to complete your gift.
Flexible Commitment
Until your will or trust goes into effect, you are free to alter your plans.
Versatile Options
You can give a specific item, an amount of money, or a percentage of your estate.
Sliding Scale
You don’t have to have extraordinary wealth to make a planned gift. Even a small amount can have a big impact over time.
In addition to passing assets to loved ones, your will or living trust can also be used to define your legacy through support of Catholic Community Services. Your estate planning attorney can help you structure a gift so your loved ones will be taken care of first. Once you decide what you want to gift, and you meet with your estate planner, please let us know of your intentions. By informing CCS of your future gift, we are able to thank you and ensure that your bequest will be fulfilled in a manner you intend. We will also honor anonymity if that is your preference.
Donor-Advised Funds
Donor-advised funds have become the fastest-growing charitable giving method in the United States due to their simplicity and tax benefits. These funds allow for both one-time and recurring donations, typically offering immediate tax deductions for contributors.

Other Ways to Give
We receive support through the following giving programs. Check out each one to learn more about the services they offer to those in need.
Fred Meyer Community Rewards
When shopping at Fred Meyer, using your rewards card, a percentage of your purchase will go to CCS when you link your card to us with RM121.
Employee Giving Programs
Many employers offer charitable giving programs through payroll. You decide the amount you want to be deducted, and your payroll giving program sends it to CCS. (Some employers will match your charitable giving!) Ask your employer how to participate in this kind of giving.
